Missing Bemina scholar’s family seek his whereabouts

Srinagar, July 30: The family members of the missing PhD scholar from Bemina again assembled at Press Colony in Srinagar on Thursday and asking the authorities to help them in tracing their kin.

The protestors, which included several women relatives of the missing PhD scholar  Hilal Ahmad were aghast over his continued disappearance and said they were desperately seeking help from authorities to find the missing youth.

Hilal Ahmad, a PhD scholar had gone for trekking to the Wangat area of the north Kashmir Ganderbal district alongwith his friends on June 14. While his friends returned, Hilal went missing and since then his whereabouts are not known.

Subsequently, police searched the missing youth along the trek route but could not trace him.

The IGP later told media that the missing scholar has joined Hizbul Mujahideen.

Hilal’s family has repeatedly staged protests to press government to help them in tracing his whereabouts.  (CNS)
