Srinagar, July 24 : The J&K administration has transferred 9654 Kanal of land to Industries and Commerce Department for establishment of 37 Industrial Estates in the Union Territory.
An official spokesperson said that the Administrative Council (AC), which met here under the chairmanship of Lieutenant Governor G C Murmu, approved transfer of State land measuring 9654 Kanal 01 Marla in favour of Industries and Commerce Department. “The land will be used to establish Industrial Estates at 37 identified locations in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
He said the identified areas where the new Industrial Estates are being proposed to be established, will witness a boost in the local economy, generation of employment opportunities and overall development of the area.
