Srinagar: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Pandurang Kondbarao Pole on Tuesday said that two people who were tested positive for COVID-19 hid their travel history.
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Pandurang Kondbarao Pole said both the people had returned from foreign journey. “They had hid their foreign journey from us,” Pandurang told Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS). “We have traced people to whom these two have been in close contact and kept them under isolation. The 300 meter radius surrounding in their areas have been isolated,” he said.
The Divisional Commissioner said authorities were making proper screening at the Srinagar Airport. “Some people are hiding their travel history in self-declaration. We are also checking whether these had shown their travel history,” he said.
He also ruled out any breach of screening at the Srinagar Airport.
“We can’t risk the lives of people. But sometimes Coronavirus symptoms are shown after some days,” he said.
He said district administrations have taken action against several people who had hid their travel history. (KINS)
