Srinagar, Jun 14: Security forces on Sunday launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, official sources said.
They said on a tip-off about the presence of militants, troops of Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint CASO at village Rohmu in Pulwama early this morning.
All the exit points were sealed and house-to-house searches launched, they said adding so far no contact was established with the militants. All roads leading to the village have been sealed.
Meanwhile, additional security force and police personnel have been deployed in the nearby areas to prevent any law and order problem. (UNI)
