Srinagar: The Ministry of Home Affairs has posted IPS officer Abdul Jabbar to the Jammu & Kashmir segment of the joint AGMUT cadre.
According to an order issued by the MHA, a copy of which lies with GNS, Abdul Jabbar, IPS (AGMUT:2008) has been posted to J&K segment with immediate effect and until further orders, consequent upon his joining the cadre on repatriation from Central Deputation.
The officer reported to the cadre on August 24, 2026. The period between his reporting to the cadre and issue of the posting order shall be treated as ‘awaiting posting’, the order reads.
The order has been issued with the approval of the Competent Authority. (GNS)
