NEW DELHI, AUGUST 24: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, has ordered the transfer of senior IPS officer Vikas Gupta (AGMUT: 2010) from Jammu and Kashmir to Goa with immediate effect.
According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs from Kartavya Bhavan, New Delhi, the transfer has been made with the approval of the competent authority. The order states that Sh. Vikas Gupta, IPS (AGMUT:2010), is hereby transferred from Jammu and Kashmir to Goa with immediate effect and until further orders.
The order has been issued by Rakesh Kumar Singh, Under Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs.
Vikas Gupta is a 2010-batch IPS officer of the AGMUT cadre and has served in Jammu and Kashmir in senior police and administrative assignments. His transfer to Goa is part of the cadre-level deployment of officers across the Union Territories and other constituent regions of the AGMUT cadre.
The Ministry’s order also makes it clear that the transfer will take effect immediately and remain operative until further orders.
The latest move comes amid the Centre’s continuing administrative deployment and rotation of AGMUT-cadre officers across Jammu and Kashmir, Goa, Delhi and other Union Territories. (KNC)
