Srinagar, Aug 21: The Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) Jammu and Kashmir has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of Ali Mohammad Bhat, a retired employee of the Food and Supplies Department, who was known as CHACHA in his parent department and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
In a heartfelt condolence message, the Senior Trade Union Leader and President EJAC, Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam, expressed his profound grief and sympathy with the bereaved family and described the demise as an irreparable loss to the family, colleagues and the employees’ fraternity.
Shabnam recalled the valuable contribution and selfless services rendered by Ali Mohammad Bhat of Nopora Safakadal Srinagar, who always stood with his colleagues and worked tirelessly for the welfare and legitimate rights of the employees.
He particularly recalled Bhat’s active participation during the 6th Pay Commission movement, and said that he remained at the forefront of the struggle and made a meaningful and significant contribution to the collective efforts of the employees. His commitment, discipline, contribution and spirit of self-less service would always be remembered by the EJAC leadership in particular and the employee fraternity in general.
“His sincerity, humility and readiness to stand by his colleagues during difficult times made him a respected figure among the employees. His contribution to the cause of employees will always remain in our memories,” Shabnam said.
The EJAC President prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and prayed to the Almighty Allah to grant him the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous. He also prayed for the patience, strength and fortitude of the bereaved family to bear this loss.
Shabnam said that his death has been deeply felt by the entire EJAC leadership and the employees’ community across Jammu and Kashmir. Shabnam assured the bereaved family that the EJAC stands firmly with them in this hour of grief and sorrow.
The EJAC President also visited the residence of the deceased and later paid a visit to the graveyard along with a delegation and offered prayers for the departed soul and conveyed solidarity with the bereaved family.
The late unknown hero of the employee fraternity has left indelible impressions on the minds and his death has caused a great void which will be hardly filled.
