DC, SSP Budgam lead Mega Tiranga Rally
BUDGAM, AUGUST 12: Patriotic fervour swept across Budgam Wednesday as Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Athar Aamir Khan, along with SSP Budgam, Hariprasad KK, led a mega Tiranga Rally from Sports Stadium Budgam to Bihisht-e-Zehra Park, witnessing massive participation of youth, students and citizens from all walks of life.
The rally, organised as part of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026, witnessed thousands of enthusiastic participants carrying the Tricolour and raising patriotic slogans, reflecting the strong spirit of unity, pride and national commitment among the people of the district.
Addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the overwhelming public response, particularly the enthusiastic participation of the younger generation.
“The massive participation in today’s Tiranga Rally is a proud moment for Budgam. It reflects the deep patriotic spirit of our people and their strong connection with the national celebrations,” said the DC.
He said the mega rally was among the major activities being organised across the district under the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign to foster patriotism, unity and national pride among citizens.
“The enthusiasm witnessed today is truly inspiring. I appeal to every citizen to continue celebrating the spirit of the Tricolour and make the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign a true people’s movement across Budgam,” the DC said.
He highlighted that a wide range of activities are being organised across the district, including bike and bicycle rallies, Tiranga rallies, cleanliness and plantation drives, painting and art competitions, and other patriotic programmes, to ensure vibrant and widespread participation in the campaign.
The Deputy Commissioner also appreciated the coordinated efforts of all departments, educational institutions, youth groups, civil society members and citizens, particularly the young generation, for making the campaign a grand success across the district. He urged people to sustain the patriotic fervour and continue participating enthusiastically in the ongoing celebrations.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Vivek Agarwal, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Taufeeq Ahmad Gazi, Additional Superintendent of Police, Syed Sajad Bukhari and all district and sectoral officers also participated in the mega rally.
The mega rally concluded with participants reaffirming their commitment to the ideals of unity, patriotism and national pride symbolised by the Tricolour.
