NEW DELHI, July 2: The Ministry of Women and Child Development has invited nominations for the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) 2026, with July 31 fixed as the last date for submitting applications through the National Awards Portal.
The annual awards recognise children between the ages of 5 and 18 for exceptional achievements in sports, social service, science and technology, environment, art and culture, besides honouring those who have displayed extraordinary bravery in challenging circumstances.
The Ministry said nominations can be submitted online through the National Awards Portal by any citizen, school, institution or organisation, while eligible children can also apply through self-nomination.
Applicants are required to provide personal details, select the relevant award category, upload a recent photograph and supporting documents, and submit a write-up of up to 1,000 words highlighting their achievement and its impact.
Urging wider participation, the Ministry appealed to schools, youth groups, non-governmental organisations, panchayats and individuals to identify and nominate deserving children during the final month of the application process to ensure that outstanding young achievers from across the country receive national recognition.
