Ganderbal, June 17: As part of the preparations for the forthcoming Umm-i-Ashura, J&K Police in Ganderbal held a meeting with respectable citizens, religious leaders, and members of the local community at Imam Bargah Dab to review arrangements and ensure the smooth and peaceful observance of the occasion.
The meeting was attended by SSP Ganderbal Sudhanshu Dhama-IPS and Dy.SP Headquarters Ganderbal Umar Urfan-JKPS, who interacted with the participants and sought their valuable suggestions regarding the conduct of religious gatherings and processions.
During the meeting, SSP Ganderbal assured the participants of full support and cooperation from Ganderbal Police for the smooth, peaceful, and dignified observance of Umm-i-Ashura.
He emphasized that all necessary security, traffic management, and public facilitation measures would be put in place to ensure the convenience and safety of devotees.
