As of today, over 90% of major flagship programs in Baramulla District have officially been implemented. This incredible milestone is due to the hard work of grassroots officials and effective planning for administration, as well as the ongoing development of the region according to the Director of Rural Development (RDD) Kashmir.
Transformational change for Baramulla will occur through successful implementation of all Government schemes including MGNREGA, P.M. Gramin Schemes and rural sanitation schemes.
The RDD is continuing to ensure that these benefits are realised at the grassroots level, through surpassing the high mark set by the RDD of 90%, which is a commitment to delivering development to all corners of the region.
This high level of implementation is more than just a matter of statistics; it is reflected in job creation and improvements to infrastructure within the region.
Unemployed job card holders are experiencing wage earning jobs. The improving housing and infrastructure conditions for marginalised communities in Baramulla District.
The timely payment of wages, along with the high levels of Aadhaar seeding within job cards, has increased to very close to 100%, and has enhanced the financial inclusion of people living in rural areas.
The achievement of Baramulla is commendable; and the pro-active work done by the RDD is equally admirable.
During recent meetings of district officials as part of a review process of implementation, the leadership praised the continued hard work of all field officials, and their efforts to achieve perfection.
The department has taken measures to identify and address minor loopholes, demonstrating its commitment to a high standard of transparent, accountable and hyper-efficient public service delivery.
As the Rural Development Department focuses on quality standards in rural development and works diligently to complete projects such as Panchayat Ghar and District Office Complex on time, there is great hope among the residents of Baramulla to see their communities become more self-reliant and prosperous as well.
This collective success will provide a model for rural empowerment throughout Jammu and Kashmir.
