The legislature’s announcement from the Government about the substantial amounts allocated and expended on repairing schools demonstrates progress and advancement in education in Jammu and Kashmir.
Many of the government schools throughout the Union Territory have, over the years, posed an underlying challenge to the educational process because of their buildings’ disrepair.
When considering the significance of doing substantial repairs under the parameters of the Samagra Shiksha Scheme, it is apparent that the administration has merely used the opportunity to repair the building’s walls and/or roofs, but rather has begun to provide a foundation upon which the children’s future will be built.
To date, the achievements associated with this program have been impressive in terms of the number of major repair projects completed during the previous two calendar years.
The repairs being performed are not purely cosmetic. The student’s present and future safety, comfort, and learning environment will all be enhanced through the repair and/or replacement of broken trusses or roofs, safety sash installlation, safety glass replacement, etc.
Continued funding will, over time, ensure that the existing structural repair investments will not just be a one-time initiative, but there will be an ongoing need for this investment/improvement process.
Additionally, the impact of the proposed build-out of the school infrastructure through the Samagra Shiksha Scheme is commendable.
Through the establishment of additional classrooms, the construction of walls around the schools and providing separate restrooms for boys and girls, all students will be able to enjoy a secure and welcoming environment within their schools.

The Commitment to Timely and Transparent Actions by The Government Should Be Supported By The Public Because All Funds Used for School Development Are An Investment in The Future of Jammu & Kashmir.
