The people of Jammu and Kashmir have yet again proved that no one can take over their place when it comes to the hospitality as the parliamentary panel has observed a significant increase in foreign tourist arrival in the region.
With the increase in the international tourist arrival in Jammu and Kashmir, there has been a wave of joy and enthusiasm among the people of the region who are directly or indirectly associated any of the sectors of tourism industry.
It has shown a confidence among the local and other major players who have been working hard in increasing the footfall of the tourists that ultimately help the locals in earning their livelihood.
The parliamentary panel suggests that nearly 20,000 foreign tourist arrived in 2022 in Jammu and Kashmir and by the year the 2024, at least 65,000 visitors were witnessed in the region.
With this rapid growth in visitors from across the world, they have proven that they are no longer reluctant to visit the beautiful landscapes of Jammu & Kashmir
The figures does not only represent the statistic but also sends a strong message of peace in the region.
For the people of Jammu & Kashmir, tourism is more than just places of scenic beauty, it is how many families support their livelihoods.
The panel also noted that this growth and expansion in tourism has positively affected the livelihoods of many families throughout the different tourism-related sectors such as hospitality, transportation, handicrafts, etc.
According to the panel, the tourism sector throughout the country is also fortunate to have bounced back quickly after the COVID-19 Pandemic.
It has shown the world how resilient and strong the spirit of J&K’s tourism industry is and that it will not be stopped for long.
The entire process of encouraging international confidence has been a reward for the hard work of all those who have worked to ensure that the region is safe and sounds.
Many leaders promote J&K to international tour operators as a year-round tourist destination, with new ideas including eco-tourism and adventure sports.
The parliamentary panel made many excellent recommendations for future improvements, such as increasing infrastructure, protecting the environment, and promoting sustainable tourism practices.
The increase in the number of foreign tourist visitors is a gesture of goodwill toward the rest of the world. It indicates that everyone recognizes Jammu and Kashmir as an exceptional place to visit.
