BANDIPORA, SEPTEMBER 26: The ongoing Aadi Karamyogi Abhiyan continues to gain momentum across the tribal areas of district Bandipora, being conducted with zeal and vigor.
In this connection, a series of awareness and outreach activities were organized in different tribal belts of the district with active participation of the local community.
As part of the campaign, awareness programmes were held at Seva Kendra Chanddajee and at Chittibandey villages of block Bandipora.
During the programme at Chittibandey, special focus was laid on women engaged in traditional shawl weaving and Sozni embroidery. The need for skill enhancement, exposure to modern techniques, value addition, and effective marketing avenues was emphasized to ensure better livelihood opportunities for the women artisans.
The abhiyan also featured interactions with the local population of Chittibandey block and with tribal heads of Kudara Panchayat in Arin Block. These interactions centered on ensuring the inclusion of the tribal community in planning, decision-making, and implementation of various socio-economic development initiatives.
Similar awareness activities were carried out at Mastan Gurez, where enthusiastic response from the community was witnessed.
Further, as part of the Abhiyan, a visit was made to the Tribal Museum at Aragam village of Bandipora block. Efforts being undertaken for the preservation and promotion of tribal culture were highlighted during the visit, underscoring the commitment to safeguard the rich heritage of the tribal communities.
The campaign continues to provide a robust platform for dialogue, awareness, and empowerment, aiming to integrate tribal communities into the mainstream development process while preserving their unique cultural identity.
