IRP-10th Bn organizes Quiz competition

Anantnag, Sep 18: IRP 10th Battalion organized quiz competition under civic action programme (CAP) at Battalion Headquarters Kheribal Mattan, Anantnag.

On this occasion, Rajinder Katoch, Commandant IRP 10th Battalion, along with Imtiyaz Ahmad, SP (Dy. CO), and other officers were present.

Addressing the students and teaching staff, Commandant IRP 10th Battalion highlighted that the event is part of the ongoing efforts of J&K Police to strengthen the Police-public relations and urged the students and staff to refrain from drug abuse and harmful practices, and focus on education for building a bright future.

A total of six teams with five students each from six schools of Mattan zone namely GHS Kheribal, GHS Nambal, GHS Fohar, GHSS Mattan, GHSS Akad and GHS Gopalpora participated in the competition.

In the competition GHSS Mattan got 1st position and was awarded with cash prize of Rs 5000, similarly GHS Fohar got 2nd position and was awarded with cash prize of Rs 3000, and GHS Gopalpora got 3rd position and was awarded with cash prize of Rs 1500. Stationery kits and medals were also distributed among all the 30 participants.

Appreciation cum participation certificates were also presented to all participants and teaching staff as a token of appreciation.

The initiative aimed to encourage students to actively participate in such competitions and educate themselves regarding general knowledge and stay away from drugs and other anti-social activities.
