Handwara, September 11: Police in Handwara Thursday said to have seized a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run case.
The incident took place on September 03, 2025 at Yaroo, in which a minor child was injured after being hit by an unknown vehicle.
Accordingly, police said that a case under FIR number 203/2025 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Handwara and investigation was initiated.
During the investigation, Police worked meticulously on the available leads and, through sustained efforts and use of technical evidence, managed to identify and trace the vehicle involved in the accident. The said vehicle bearing registration number JK05J-2760 has been seized, police said, adding that further investigation in the case is going on.
