KUPWARA, AUGUST 11: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, today chaired a comprehensive review meeting of concerned officers to assess the progress of ongoing works under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the district.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner was briefed about the physical and financial status of various water supply schemes being implemented under JJM, aimed at providing Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs) to all rural households in the district.
While reviewing the sector-wise progress, the DC emphasized timely completion of all works without compromising on quality. He directed concerned officers to ensure that all targets are achieved within stipulated timelines.
The officers were also instructed to coordinate closely with the executing agencies to remove any bottlenecks hampering the pace of work.
It was informed that 129664 households constituting 82.68% have been connected with FHTCs in the district. It was also informed that 31 schemes out of 111 are completed in the district, 46 are nearing the completion and work is in progress on the execution of rest of the schemes.
