Closing ceremony of Cooperative Mandap held

ANANTNAG, AUGUST 04:  The closing ceremony of the Cooperative Mandap established at Yatra Base Camp Nunwan by the Department of Cooperatives, Anantnag was held today.
This initiative was undertaken in alignment with the observance of the International Year of Cooperatives 2025, reflecting the department’s commitment to promoting cooperative values and extending essential services to the pilgrims.
The Cooperative Mandap was set up with the primary objective of facilitating a safe, comfortable, and informed pilgrimage experience for the devotees of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatries throughout the duration of the Yatra. Mandap provided free services including potable water, basic medicines, and guidance to the pilgrims to ensure a smooth and successful journey.
The culmination ceremony was presided over by Nasrool Hilal Jerri, Chief Executive Officer, Pahalgam Development Authority. He lauded the commendable efforts of the Cooperatives department, Anantnag for their dedicated services and seamless coordination during the Yatra.
He further expressed appreciation for the role played by the Cooperative Mandap in upholding the spirit of community welfare.
As a mark of recognition, certificates of appreciation and mementos were distributed among the staff of the Cooperative department who were actively involved in the initiative.
The event was also attended by Muzaffar Ahmad Beigh, Deputy Registrar, Cooperative Societies Anantnag, along with Assistant Registrars and field staff from various blocks of the district.
