BSF apprehends Pak intruder

Srinagar, May 21: The Border Security Force (BSF) personnel apprehended a Pakistani intruder near the International Border (IB) in Amritsar, Punjab, on Tuesday evening after detecting suspicious movement in the area.
According to BSF sources, alert troops noticed an individual crossing the IB and advancing toward the border security fence. Responding swiftly, the troops challenged the person and successfully apprehended him without incident.
During preliminary questioning, the intruder identified himself as a Pakistani national. A search of his belongings led to the recovery of Rs 330 in Pakistani currency.
Following initial interrogation by BSF officials and other intelligence agencies, the individual was handed over to local police for further investigation, including to ascertain his motive for illegally crossing into Indian territory. (KINS)
