Flags off Jammu-Nowshera bus service

JAMMU, APRIL 13: Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Kumar Choudhary Sunday flagged off a bus service from Jammu to Nowshera via Seri.
While speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister said that this daily bus service from Jammu to Nowshera will benefit thousands of people who faced many difficulties in up-down travel from the designated area earlier.
He said it was a long pending demand of the locals and expressed his satisfaction that the government is proficient to fulfill their aspirations.
Deputy Chief Minister exhorted that the government is committed to improve transportation in J&K, especially far flung and remote areas with the aim to enhance mass mobility, providing increased safety and sustainability, along with greater access and convenience for commuters.
Surinder Choudhary said that women are already taking benefits of the free travel facility in J&K which was one of their promises during the election and it proves that the present government under the leadership of CM Omar Abdullah is committed to fulfill all its promises providing benefit to the people.
He emphasized that J&K government will establish a sustainable public transportation system in J&K, benefiting all sections of the society.
