Srinagar, Apr 05: National Conference (NC) President, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, along with Vice President Omar Abdullah and HCM Omar Abdullah, have expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the Women’s Wing District President of Ganderbal, Mtr. Mubeena Akhtar.
The Vice President and Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, attended the funeral prayers of the deceased in Yangoora, Ganderbal. Advisor to HCM Nasir Aslam Wani, MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq also attended the Namaz-e-Janaza.
Party General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar, Women’s Wing President Shameema Firdous, Provincial President Er Sabiya Qadri prayed for peace to the departed soul. They fondly remembered her dedication to the party and her effective advocacy for local women’s issues.
In the meantime, a delegation led by Provincial President Showkat Mir visited Yongoora, Ganderbal, to offer condolences to the grieving family of Mubeena Akhtar. State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar, Provincial Secretary Syed Tauqeer, Senior VP Central Zone Ab Hamid Bhat, and Sheikh Gayasudin accompanied the Provincial President. The leaders offered prayers for the peace of the departed soul.
