Srinagar, Dec 19:Jammu and Kashmir Police in Srinagar on Thursday said to have solved a burglary case within 24 hours and recovered stolen property as well.
“On December 17, 2024, taking cognizance of a written complaint by an individual namely Naseer Ah Bhat son of Ghulam Ahmad Bhat resident of DeviahanganHawal that unknown thieves had broken into his house and stolen various items, including cash, PS Nowhatta registered case FIR No. 57/2024 under relevant sections of law and constituted a Special Investigation Team headed by SHO PS Nowhatta to carry out thorough investigation of the matter,” a police spokesman said.
With swift and strenuous efforts and assistance of human and technical intelligence, the accused persons namely MohdShamimBoya son of MohdMamoomBoya resident of Ganga Rampur District UlbaryaKalkata West Bengal and MohdSahil Sheikh son of Mohd Sahib Ali Sheikh resident of Ali PoraNarala Sector-8 Delhi were identified and arrested by Srinagar Police, police said.
Pertinently, the stolen property was recovered on December 18, 2024. Further investigation into the case is ongoing.
