DLSA organizes free eye screening camp

Srinagar: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar, in collaboration with ASG Eye Hospital, successfully organized a free eye screening camp at Ahata Waqar Day Care and Recreation Centre on Saturday.
The camp, held under the guidance of Jaffar Hussain Beg, Chairman of the DLSA Srinagar (Principal District & Sessions Judge), and under the supervision of Nusrat Ali Hakak, Secretary/Sub-Judge, District Legal Services Authority Srinagar,  it was  aimed to provide vital eye care services to the elderly members of Ahata Waqar and the local community members.
Nusrat Ali Hakak, Secretary DLSA, inaugurated the camp as the Chief Guest. Scores of individuals, including members of Ahata Waqar, took advantage of the free eye check-ups and consultations provided by the expert medical team from ASG Eye Hospital.
Speaking on the occasion, Nusrat Ali Hakak interacted with the senior citizens / members of Ahata Waqar, attentively listening to their concerns and grievances.
She emphasized the DLSA’s commitment to providing accessible and quality legal aid services to all, particularly vulnerable communities like those served by Ahata Waqar and also emphasized the importance of accessible healthcare for all, especially the senior citizens
The said free eye screening  camp was attended by Secretary, DLSA Srinagar, Members of the Ahat-e- Waqar, Doctors from ASG Hospitals, officials & Para Legal volunteers of DLSA Srinagar.
Abdul Ganie Parray, Chairman of the Senior Citizens Council, praised the collaborative initiative of the DLSA Srinagar and ASG Eye Hospital, commending their commitment to providing vital healthcare services to the elderly. Shabir Mujahid, former Director of Doordarshan, also lauded the services offered by DLSA & Ahata Waqar for senior citizens and encouraged the continuation of such programs.
