Srinagar, Sept 12: Encash Automotive proudly unveiled the Mahindra Thar ROXX, branded as ‘THE’ SUV, a new category disruptor designed to break norms and redefine the SUV landscape in India. Priced at ₹12.99 lakh, the Thar ROXX embodies Mahindra’s bold spirit, combining rugged performance with luxury and modern sophistication. It is built to deliver an exceptional driving experience, whether on urban roads or challenging terrains.
Designed on Mahindra’s new M_GLYDE platform, the Thar ROXX offers a smooth ride, crisp handling, and class-leading dynamics. Its advanced suspension system, featuring WATT’s Link suspension, hydraulic rebound stopper, and world-class NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) levels, provides a refined driving experience. Tested rigorously across diverse and extreme terrains, including the Thar desert, Umling La, Coorg, and Kaza, the SUV has proven its reliability and strength.
The Thar ROXX offers both petrol and diesel engine options: a 2.0L mStallion TGDi petrol engine producing 130 kW of power and 380 Nm of torque, and a 2.2L mHawk diesel engine generating 128.6 kW of power and 370 Nm of torque. Both engines come with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission, ensuring versatility and a responsive drive.
Advanced technology features include Mahindra’s Level 2 ADAS, 35+ standard safety features, and an array of off-road capabilities such as India’s first Crawl Smart Assist and IntelliTurn, allowing superior off-road maneuverability. The SUV also comes equipped with a Gen II Adventure statistics display, compass, roll & pitch altimeter, and multiple terrain modes like Snow, Sand, and Mud.
Luxury is at the core of the Thar ROXX experience, offering best-in-class cabin space, a panoramic Skyroof™, and an impressive Harman Kardon 9-speaker system with QuantumLogic. The SUV features twin HD screens, ventilated and powered seats, a 360-degree surround-view system, and over 80 advanced features powered by Mahindra’s Adrenox platform.
The unveiling event in Srinagar was attended by notable guests, including Mr. Javaid Ahmad (Branch Head, J&K Bank, Dal Gate), Mr. Peer Muzaffar (Chief Manager, SBI Bank, Hyderpora), Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Kawa (Branch Head, J&K Bank, Hyderpora), and Mr. Sajad Ahmad Guroo (Divisional Manager, Mahindra Finance). The Thar ROXX is manufactured at Mahindra’s advanced facility in Nashik and is available for test drives across Kashmir starting from September 14, 2024.
