Srinagar: Advocate Aga Syed Muntazir, the son of the renowned religious cleric Aga Syed Hassan, has joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Budgam. This is seen as a significant gain for the PDP in the Budgam district assembly seat.
Aga Syed Muntazir was welcomed by the party’s president, Mehbooba Mufti, at ASH Mall Budgam.
Aga Syed Muntazir is a prominent figure in Budgam and belongs to the Aga family. The people of Jammu and Kashmir hold deep love and respect for this family, as his father, Aga Syed Hassan, is the president of Anjuman-e-Sharia Shian.
While addressing the gathering, Mehbooba Mufti according to Kashmir Dot Com stated, “The People’s Democratic Party is committed to carrying forward the vision of the late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, and the party remains dedicated to the mission set by him.” (KDC)
