Srinagar: The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gained momentum Saturday as five prominent leaders from the Habba Kadal constituency officially joined the party.
Tufail Bhat, Mohd Shafi Gojri, Gh Nabi Rather, Ab Ahad Rather, and Umer Mukhtar Najar were introduced to the PDP during a ceremony organized by Zone President Sameer ul Jameel.
Senior PDP leaders, including General Secretary GN Lone Hanjura, Senior Leader Khurshid Alam, State Secretary Arif Laigroo, District President Srinagar Qayoom Bhat, and Dr. Ali Mohammad, extended a warm welcome to the new members. The event culminated with a meeting with Party President, Mehbooba Mufti, who expressed appreciation for their decision to join the PDP.
This infusion of new leadership is expected to strengthen the PDP’s foothold in Habba Kadal and enhance its grassroots engagement.
