Emotions are important in human life. They are vital too for a successful journey whether in life or career. They become an integral part of all human interactions. They are very much necessary in the current world of multiple opportunities. Emotions determine a message’s tone, colour, mood, purpose and intent. They can be interpersonal and leave a lasting impact on people when they weave a particular word to express a particular emotion. Behind the employment of words are hidden feelings, emotions and expressions that carry subtleties of meaning. A harsh word may be used in an indirect way to convey a particular emotion. It is equally important to learn about emotions and the role they play in shaping a successful career. The causes and influences that emotions profoundly impact individuals lie in understanding their emotions and others’ emotions. This becomes an important skill in understanding others effectively. People undergo different levels of emotions and experience greater success in their careers and a greater level of well-being in their personal lives. If an individual is gifted with high levels of intelligence quotient, then he or she comes up well in education. Similarly, if an individual is gifted with an Emotional Quotient, he or she may shine well in career. Emotions determine the health levels of people. Those who live a happy and healthy life lead a positive life with positive moods. They are confident, optimistic, energetic and more flexible and adaptable. Who creates these emotions in life? Man himself is the creator of these emotions. But managing them is a daunting task. If one manages emotions, one can manage stress. A stressful situation has to be properly handled by the individuals. In the case of professionals who seek to achieve success under stress and pressure, emotional handling is central to them. Negotiations are the key to success. Positive thinking asserts his or her strength or weakness in crucial matters. Even in uncontrollable situations, socializing with others will give those scores of clues from where people become mentally strong and motivated to deal with adversities. Healthy thinking, regular exercise and meditation can act as stress busters. How best one can negotiate them will depend upon the individual’s capacity to handle them. One must learn about emotional awareness in trying circumstances and engage oneself in the emotionally balanced manner. A doctor is occupied with so many patients in his nursing home. He is physically present in the hospital but actually his mind is predominantly centered on the patient who is admitted and treated under his care and supervision. His stress levels may sometimes shoot up. It all depends upon how a doctor deals with the patient from time to time. Such adverse situations make him professionally strong. A surgeon has to be emotionally intelligent when he conducts a surgery in the operation theatre. An engineer uses his logic when he draws a plan for construction of a bridge or dam. A pilot uses his emotional intelligence when he takes off the flight. All professionals need emotional intelligence skills to handle different tasks. He can handle critical care cases in an emergency only by applying his expertise in times of crisis. Even police officials are under stress and pressure around the clock dealing with different crimes and culprits. Their emotions are a pathway to trace out the mystery of the case. They just work on the history of the case and successfully chase out the mysteries of thousands of criminal cases. This reflects their emotional strength and character.

If one looks at the world,there are prominent figures who with their emotional intelligence had become universally popular in their respective professions. Indeed they have effectively used emotional intelligence.They are Barrack Obama,Mary Barra, Richard Branson, Oprah Winfrey, Mark Zuckerberg, Reid Hoffman, Simon Sinek,and others. These individuals demonstrated how emotional intelligence could contribute to success in various fields. Emotional Intelligence remains crucial for professionals to achieve success in their careers and build relationships with colleagues,clients, and managers. Emotional  Intelligence works out successfully in effective communication, conflict resolution,teamwork, collaboration,leadership and decision making.

 In all these situations, emotions are important factors to handle adversities and comforts in life. Really emotions play a crucial role unknowingly in the successful career of an individual. One must learn them from time to time. Handling, socializing and negotiating emotions are parameters to attain perfection. A good common sense has to be applied using emotions. That leads one to a successful professional.
