Rakib Zia backs JKAS aspirant’s call for age limit relaxation

Srinagar: Aspirants for the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024 are appealing to the J&K administration to increase the upper age limit for candidates.
Currently set at 32 years for open merit candidates under SRO 103, this limit is the lowest in the country, causing significant distress among many aspirants.

Many aspirants begin their preparation after completing their higher education and often face delays due to various personal and professional reasons. The age limit, they argue, penalizes those who might have taken longer to reach the examination stage.

They urge the J&K administration to consider similar relaxations, at least temporarily, to accommodate the lost time and opportunities.

Adding his voice to the cause, Rakib Ahmad Zia, renowned author and social Activist, extended his support and requested the J&K administration to consider the genuine demands of the aspirants regarding age relaxation.
