98.3 Mirchi organises iftaar function, naat khwani session

Srinagar: In a fitting end to culminate their month-long Saifco Next Noor-e-Ramzan campaign, 98.3 Mirchi organised an Iftaar function-cum-Naat Khwani session at Banat-e-Gulshan hostel for Orphan girls b J&K Yateem Trust, Wathora, Gopalpora,a  statement said.
It said the event was a heart-touching initiative bringing smile on the faces of these well-deserving girls form the orphanage . “The girls performed naats pleasing everyone’s ears and touching every soul. Apart from a delicious iftar meal, the girls were presented with gifts leaving them all smiles. There was also a free health check-up from Paras Healthcare,” the statement added.
The entire Mirchi team was present at the event along with the team of sponsors.
The month-long campaign Noor-e-Ramzan is entirely aimed at spreading a message of harmony and peace as RJ Mehak and RJ Vijdan have been special shows like the special Sehri show, Ramadan recipes, Aalimah on air and a soulful devotional playlist playing all day, the statement added.

Speaking at the event, RJ Mehak said, “Ramzan is a special month by way of default, however this year was even more special as we celebrate 5 years of Ramadan at 98.3 Mirchi. It’s a great feeling to be able to contribute towards the Holy Month’s festivities be it running special shows or hosting chefs for Ramdan recipes, changing our music and even our marketing strategy. May Allah accept ours and everyone else’s Ramdan prayers.”
RJ Vijdan said, “ It’s a special feeling as we go down the memory lane and think of all the years of this very special effort that we put to curate our Ramadan programming. Our message is always one of Kindness and Love. Throughout this month in my pre-dawn Sehri show, I’ve hosted honourable Muftis talking about important topics that enlighten people not just religiously but in all disciplines of life. And this event here with these well-deserving girls at the orphanage gives us immense pleasure and true satisfaction of having lived the true spirit of Ramadan’’.
