Srinagar: Police on Thursday said that they have arrested two drivers and seized two vehicles in Kulgam after being found involved in the illegal extraction of minerals and their transportation.
As per the news agency CNS, a police spokesperson said that both drivers were arrested along with two tractors as they were illegally extracting minerals from Kandi Nala in Kulgam.
The accused drivers have been identified as Mohammad Asif Malik son of Mohammad Ashraf Malik and Nadeem Ahmad Malik son of Ghulam Ahmad Malik, both residents of DK Marag.
Police in this regard have registered a case vide FIR No 22/2024 under relevant sections of law at Police Station DH Pora and an investigation has been taken up. (CNS)
