Prayagraj: Progressive Literary & Cultural Society (PLCS) organized “Woman’s Scream International Festival 2024” in collaboration with Woman Scream at Hotel Ravisha Continental, Prayagraj.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Shamenaz (PLCS Founder and President), who introduced the programme discussing in details about PLCS and Woman Scream and welcomed all the guests.
She invited the Chief Guest Professor Sumita Parmar (Allahabad) along with other esteemed guests Professor Jaya Kapoor (Allahabad University), Professor Santosh Bhadauria (Allahabad University) to release the Hindi poetry collection, “Kalpanaon ka Manthan” of Dr. Neerja Sachdev (Retired Associate Professor, S.S. Khanna).

Professor Sumita Parmar in her speech said that, “A teacher feels happy when his students move ahead in life.” Referring to the primitive women’s poetry collection, “Theri Gatha”, she extended her best wishes to Dr. Neerja. She also drew attention towards the problems faced by women’s creativity. Expressing her best wishes, Prof. Jaya Kapoor expressed her views on expanding the creative process and the support which women are giving to each other in their creative process.
Some poets recited their verses, prominent among them were Dr. Vijay Kumar Roy (Allahabad University), Dr. Alka Prakash (Dr. Rajendra Prasad Rajju Bhaiyya University), Dr. Kalpana Mishra and Tahira Parveen (S.S. Khanna Girls Degree College), Tabassum (Teacher, Mirzapur)
Dr. Neerja Sachdev proposed a vote of thanks and the event was moderated by Dr. Shamenaz. Various personalities of the city were present in the program, Dr. Ranjana Tripathi (Principal Rajarshi Tandon Mahila Mahavidyalaya), theater artist Praveen Shekhar, Dr. Indu Goyal, Dr. Alpana Aggarwal, Amita Mehrotra and others.
