Burglary case solved in Baramulla, accused held: Police

Srinagar: Police in Baramulla Tuesday solved a burglary case by arresting an accused person involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property from his possession.

Authorities said that on January 28, Police Station Kreeri received a written complaint from one person namely Ghulam Hassan Khan son of Gh Mohd Khan resident of Singhpora Pattan stating therein that his motorcycle Pulsar bearing registration number JK05G-5184 was stolen by some unknown burglars during intervening night of 27 & 28 January, 2024.

Accordingly, a case FIR No. 5/2024 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Kreeri and investigation was initiated.

During the course of investigation, some suspects were called for questioning besides, with the help of technical & human resources, the investigating team zeroed in on one suspect identified as Usman Naseer Shah son of Naseer Ahmad Shah resident of Peer Mohalla Kreeri.

“During questioning, officers learnt about his involvement in the commission of crime. He was arrested and shifted to PS where he remains in custody. Stolen motorcycle Pulsar was also recovered from the house of the arrested accused person,” police said.

Police said that the community members have lauded the efforts of police for cracking/solving the case. “Our consistent actions shall assure community members that Police have resolved to act tough against individuals involved in any kind of criminal activities.”
