Govt College of Education students embark on national tour

Srinagar, January 28:In an effort to broaden the horizons of its students and foster a sense of national pride, the Government College of Education, M. A. Road Sunday flagged off a National Tour under the flagship initiative of Vikshit Bharat @2047.

Professor (Dr.) SeemaNaz, the esteemed principal of the college, ceremoniously launched the expedition, emphasizing the significance of exposing students to the rich cultural tapestry of India.

Highlighting the importance of student participation in the developmental journey of the country, Prof. SeemaNaz remarked, “This initiative aims to instill a sense of responsibility and awareness among our students, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to the future of Vikshit Bharat @2047.”

The meticulously planned tour, under the guidance of Tour Coordinator Prof. Aijaz Ahmad Dar, will see a group comprising 21 students and 4 staff members traverse through destinations of historical, cultural, and geographical importance across the nation.

In addition to exploring iconic landmarks, the tour party is set to visit various educational institutions to observe and learn about the latest trends and innovations in the field of education.

Expressing their enthusiasm, students of the college conveyed satisfaction with the arrangements made by the college administration for this enriching journey.

Prof. Aijaz Ahmad Dar, while briefing about the tour plan, stated, “This initiative is not just about sightseeing; it’s a holistic approach to education, providing students with a broader perspective and a deeper understanding of our diverse nation.”

The tour party is slated to cover a comprehensive circuit, spanning destinations such as Jammu, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Jaipur.
