PM’s ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024’ records 1 crore registrations

New Delhi: In a spectacular showcase of nationwide enthusiasm, the 7th edition of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s “Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024” has set a new record with over 1 crore registrations on the MyGov portal, marking a significant milestone until Friday.

This unique interactive program, conceptualized by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, allows students, parents, and teachers from across the nation, as well as overseas, to engage with him in discussions about exam-related anxieties and life after school.

Successfully organized for the past six years by the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, the event has gained momentum as a cornerstone of the larger movement, “Exam Warriors,” aimed at creating a stress-free atmosphere for youngsters.

Scheduled for January 29, 2024, at Bharat Mandapam, ITPO, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, the program will follow a town-hall format with nearly 4000 participants interacting with the Prime Minister. Two students and a teacher from each State and UT, along with winners of the Kala Utsav and Veer Gatha competitions, may be invited as special guests.

As of January 5, 2024, over 90 lakh students, more than 8 lakh teachers, and around 2 lakh parents have already registered for the online MCQ competition on the MyGov portal, spanning classes 6th to 12th.

In anticipation of the main event, a series of activities will be organized at the school level from January 12 to January 23, 2024, including a marathon run, music competition, meme competition, nukkad natak, student-anchor-student-guest discussions, and more.

The festivities will culminate on January 23, 2024, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti, with a Painting Competition in 500 districts nationwide. The topics will showcase how examinations can be a celebration of life, featuring themes like Chandrayan and India’s sporting success.

“Pariksha Pe Charcha” stands as a testament to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to fostering an environment where the unique individuality of each child is celebrated, encouraged, and allowed to express itself fully, echoing the principles laid out in his bestselling book, ‘Exam Warriors.’

About 2050 participants shall be selected on the basis of their Questions on the MyGov portal and will be presented with a special Pariksha Pe Charcha kit comprising of Exam Warriors book in Hindi and English, written by the Prime Minister, and a certificate.
