Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday issued a list of holidays for the calendar year 2024.
The order reads the holidays listed in Annexure-“A” & “B” to this order shall be observed in the Government Offices and educational institutions of the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir during the calendar year 2024.
At least 28 holidays including Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Birthday, Republic Day, Shab-I-Miraj, Mahashivratri, Nauroz, Jumat-ul-Vida, Shab-I-Qadr, 1st Navratra, Eid-ul-Fitr, Baisakhi, Birthday of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Ramanavami, Buddha Purnima, Eid-ul-Azha, Guru Hargobind Ji’s Birthday Ashoora, Independence Day, Janamashtami, Eid-i-Milad-ul-Nabi, Friday following Eid-i-Milad-ul-Nabi, Birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji, Mahatma Gandhi’s Birthday, Mahanavami, Dussehra, Accession Day, Diwali, Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Birthday and Christmas Day will be observed throughout the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir during the Calendar Year, 2024.
