Srinagar: A traffic policeman and a civilian were killed while another civilian was injured in a road accident on the outskirts of Srinagar on Monday.
An official told KNO that a truck ran out of control and hit three people including a traffic cop in the Maloora area of Shalteng.
They were rushed to JVC Hospital Bemina, where Zahoor Ahmad, an SPO in Traffic Police, and Zahid Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Maloora, were declared brought dead, while Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, a resident of Pulwama is undergoing treatment.
Medical Superintendent, JVC Hospital, Shafa A Deva, told KNO that two people were brought dead to the hospital, while the condition of the third person is currently stable but under observation.
Police have taken cognisance of the accident and the investigation is on, the official said.
