Amarnath Yatra: Injured pilgrim airlifted from Sangam, DHSK compliments health team

Srinagar: A 43-year-old female pilgrim, who had a fall from Palki at Sangam, resulting in head injury with a lacerated wound, was airlifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar after initial stabilization by health team led by Dr Yash Raj and Chetan Goyal.

The SKIMS Soura team was immediately alerted by Director Health Services Kashmir and patient is being managed at the institute at present, a statement issued here reads.

Director Health Services Kashmir has complimented the health team and thanked all others, who helped in rescue particularly the Army, local district administration and all other line departments for their outstanding help.

Pertinently, Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra has started from 1st July and health department has made elaborate arrangements for providing health care facilities to yatris along the yatri route.

The whole rescue operation was coordinated personally by Director Health Services Kashmir on the directions of CEO Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board.
