Srinagar: To deal with disasters, a one-day training camp was organized by Civil Defence Srinagar at Kichpora Kangan Ganderbal.
The camp was inaugurated and supervised by Rahi Riyaz Ahmed Divisional Warden Srinagar in presence of Shabir Ahmad Sarpanch, Tariq Ahmad trainer Ajaz Ahmed, Showkat Ahmad instructors Shahnaza District president Ashas United Forum.
According to reports, many young men, women and volunteers, teachers, students, NGOs and Ashas participated in the training camp where civil defence instructors trained the participants, volunteers how to deal with disasters and accidents.
Precautionary measures, rescue management, floods management, first aid, CPR etc was taught during the camp.
Divisional Warden Civil Defence Srinagar, Rahi Riyaz said that preventing natural calamities is not a matter of human alone but with proper training and preventive measures its intensity and possible losses can be reduced to some extent.
He said that such camps are being organized to provide the volunteers with rigorous training in rescue and relief so that they can save precious lives by providing timely assistance to the victims in case of any sudden accident or accident.
At last of the program, certificates were distributed among the participants who had recently completed five days basic training program.
