2 LeT militant aides held in Bla: Police

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police alongwith security forces arrested two militant associates linked with LeT at Frestihar area of Kreeri Baramulla and recovered arms & ammunition & other incriminating materials from their possession.

A police spokesman said that acting on specific information regarding movement of terrorists in Village Frestihar Kreeri, Police alongwith Army (29RR) established a motor vehicle checking point (MVCP) at Frestihar Waripora Crossing Kreeri.

“During checking the joint party intercepted and arrested two suspected persons who on noticing the checkpoint tried to flee from the spot but were apprehended tactfully. They have been identified as Suhail Gulzar son of Ghulam Mohd Sheikh resident of Frestihar Kreeri & Waseem Ahmad Pata son of Ghulam Qadir Pata resident of Hudipora Rafiabad, linked with proscribed terror outfit LeT,” police said.

During checking, arms and ammunition including 2 Chinese Pistols, 2 Pistol Magazines, 15 pistol rounds and other incriminating materials have been recovered from their possession, police said.

Accordingly, police said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kreeri and further investigation has been initiated.
