Srinagar: District Employment & Counselling Centre Baramulla has conducted a Job fair was conducted for Jobseekers from the district.
On the occasion, Assistant Director Employment, DE&CC Baramulla Rabia Iqbal emphasized upon the unemployed youth, job seeker and employers as well as job providers to register themselves on employment portal www.jakemp.nic.in, which is integrated with NCS portal to bridge the gap between Employers and job seekers.
Around 6 employers and Job providers from different sectors participated in the event which included companies like Jio Fibre, Natural Life Care, Lovely Restaurant Baramulla Kashmir Valley Motors, Ghani Printing Press Sopore, ICICI Lombard.
More than 200 unemployed youth, jobseekers from the district participated in the event.
Around 45 youth were shortlisted by various companies for different jobs and 50 candidates registered themselves on the Employment Portal i.e. www.jakemp.nic.in on the spot.
The event was attended by District President Industries Baramulla and Representative from Chunar 9 Jawan Club Baramulla.
Various company representatives also addressed the youth and made them aware about the changing requirement of industry and job skills required for employment in the contemporary times.
The unemployed youth from district Baramulla expressed their gratitude to District Employment and Counseling Centre, Baramulla for organizing this job fair.
