Srinagar: District Employment & Counselling Centre Baramulla on Monday organized a day-long job fair for jobseekers of the district.
On the occasion, it was emphasized upon the unemployed youth, job seeker and employers, job providers to register themselves on employment portal www.jakemp.nic.in to bridge the gap between employers and job seekers.
Around 11 employers from different sectors participated in the event which included companies like Kashmir Valley Motors, AMCO, Aditya Birla Sunlife, Sanctorum Public School, Imperial Public School, Al Noor Academy and others.
More than 350 unemployed youth/jobseekers from the district participated in the event.
Around 92 youth were shortlisted by various companies for different jobs and 45 candidates registered themselves on the Employment Portal i.e. www.jakemp.nic.in & NCS portal on the spot.
Various company representatives also addressed the youth and made them aware about the changing requirement of industry and job skills required for employment in the contemporary times.
The unemployed youth from district Baramulla expressed their gratitude to District Employment and Counseling Centre, Baramulla for organizing this job fair.
