Srinagar: The Tosamaidan Development Forum welcomed Assistant Director Tourism for his initiative to organise an event at one of the most attractive destinations .
According to a statement issued here, the Tosamaidan Development Forum said this was a positive step by Nasir Hussain Sheikh, Assistant Director Tourism to raise awareness about Tosamadian .
” Government must adopt Tourism related policies, schemes, ideas to encourage the Tourism trade in the state with due consideration to Jammu & Kashmir’s heritage & culture, ” said Bhat Riyaz Chairman Tosamaidan Development Forum .
He said the sole right of developing and earning from tourism should be with local people of villages related to Tosa Maidan only.
“The entire area should be developed as rural eco- tourism. Road network to Srinagar, importantly the kilometers from sethran to Tosamadian which are pending should be repaired,” said Sheikh Gh Mohiudin chief patron of the Forum.
