73rd Republic Day celebrated at Diesel Loco Modernization Works, Patiala

Patiala: 73rd Republic Day, as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, was celebrated at Diesel Loco Modernization Works, Patiala, a Production Unit of Indian Railways, with a lot of fervor and gaiety.

S. N. Dubey, Principal Chief Administrative Officer hoisted the National flag followed by playing the National Anthem in the presence of PHODs/HODs & other DMW Officers , members of Women Welfare Organization, Staff Council & SC/ST Associations.

On the other hand, Railway Protection Force Contingent was also worth seeing during Republic day Parade. In view of Covid-19 Pandemic, the program was organized with due compliance of COVID appropriate behavior.

The Administrative Building was decorated with beautiful tricolor lights. Social distancing, wearing masks, & other preventive measures were followed strictly by those who attended the function.

Dubey highlighted the performance of DMW in achieving production figure of Rs. 1565 Crore during April-December, 2021 which is around 28% more than corresponding figure of previous year.

During this period DMW manufactured 08 new WAP7, 72 WAG9H Electric Locomotives and 63 DETC (Diesel Electric Tower Cars) along with 60 Motorized Bogies, 209 Motorized Wheel Sets & 86 New Hitachi Traction Motors.

On this occasion, Dubey said that it is a proud moment for DMW for winning National Award 2021 for Environment & Cleanliness from Ministry of Railways.

Lalita Dubey President DMW Women Wefare organization along with its members donated 2 Wheel Chairs to DMW Railway Hospital.

Paying rich tributes to slain, Dubey reminded DMW staff the qualities like patriotism, hard work, unity, mutual co-operation and justice that are need of the hour so that our hard earned “Freedom” could be preserved forever.

While concluding, she appealed to all DMW employees to maintain National Integration and harmony and strive continuously to improve the quality and production of DMW.
