GAD tells officers to submit APRs within 1 week

94 pending at initiation level, 387 at review level

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government has directed the officers to submit the pending annual performance reports of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers at different levels within a week’s time.

In a communiqué, a copy of which is in possession of The Precious Kashmir, the General Administration Department has drawn the attention of the authorities towards the fact that an appreciable number of APRs are pending at initial level and review level despite the lapse timeline for processing them.

The GAD has pointed out that 94 APRs of JKAS officers are pending at initiation level and 387 at review level.

The deadlines for the initiation authority and review authority were respectively September 30 and November 15.

According to GAD communiqué, the concerned authorities at the initiation level and review level are advised to complete the required action on pending APRs within a week’s time i.e. 05-12-2021 positively.

The communiqué also reveals that 218 APRs of officers are pending at “accepting level. The deadline for the accepting authority is December 31, 2021.

As per the process governing submission of APRs, every officer, to be reported upon, has to record his self-assessment for the preceding year and submit the same to the Initiating Officer, who after filling in the appraisal column on his performance and recording comments about the self-assessment of the officer is to submit the same to the Reviewing authority. After recording his/ her remarks, the Reviewing Authority has to submit the APRs to the Accepting authority.
