Jammu: Security forces on Wednesday arrested one person with grenade in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The police spokesman said that based on the inputs about inimical elements planning to cause disturbance through handlers to carry out grenade blast in Kishtwar district, a joint check point was established this evening by a team of Kishtwar Police, Army and CRPF personnel at Drabshalla Thathri.
During search of vehicles and passengers, the security forces noticed a suspicious movement of one person who was trying to evade frisking.
However, security force personnel immediately overpowered him and on his personal search, one hand grenade was recovered from his possession.
The arrested person has been identified as Sohail Ahmed Bhat, resident of Bathri Gandoh, District Doda.
A case under relevant sections has been registered and investigation started.
