UN Chief ‘very saddened’ by Mexico City train crash: Spokesperson

United Nations:  United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was very saddened to learn about a deadly subway overpass collapse in Mexico City and expressed condolences to the victims of the tragedy, UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said on Tuesday.
“We were very saddened to hear the news and see the horrific images,” Dujarric said in a press briefing. “We send our condolences to the families of the victims and wish all those who were injured a speedy recovery.”
A subway overpass and train collapsed onto a road between the Olivos and Tezonco stations at 10:00 p.m. local time on Monday (3:00 GMT on Tuesday).
According to Mexico City Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum, the disaster killed at least 23 people and injured 79 individuals who were hospitalized. (Sputnik)
