ADDC B’pora reviews implementation of NAPS-PRAGATI

BANDIPORA, SEPTEMBER 14: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Bandipora, Nazir Ahmad Mir, Monday chaired a meeting to review and accelerate the implementation of the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS)-PRAGATI in the district.

The meeting was attended by various departments and agencies, including the Head of Project, NHPC (KGHEP), Project Director NHAI, Chief Education Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Assistant Labour Commissioner, State Taxes Officer, Executive Engineers, all Block Development Officers of the District, Municipal Council, Cooperative Department, J&K Bank and other concerned officers. Officers from Gurez and Sumbal participated through the Video Conference.

During the meeting, the ADDC stressed the importance of maximum registration of establishments on the NAPS portal to ensure greater participation of government departments, institutions and other eligible establishments in apprenticeship opportunities for local youth.

A department-wise target of establishments has been fixed for registration on the NAPS portal, with specific targets assigned to different departments and field formations.

The ADDC directed all concerned officers to work in a coordinated and mission-oriented manner and achieve their assigned targets within the stipulated timeline, emphasizing that registration should be taken up on a priority basis.

He further called upon the officers to maximize outreach and identify eligible establishments so that the benefits of the NAPS-PRAGATI initiative reach a larger number of youth and provide them with meaningful opportunities for skill development, practical training and enhanced employability.

The ADDC also directed the concerned officers to closely monitor the progress of registration on a daily basis and ensure that the assigned targets are achieved well within the timeline.
