A teacher’s first responsibility is not simply to prepare students for examinations, but to prepare them for life. While teaching mathematics, I always tried to ensure that students did not merely memorise formulas but learned to reason, understand problems and find solutions.
The purpose of education is not only to achieve marks. It is to develop a mindset that enables students to make sound decisions in changing circumstances.
From Teacher to School Leader
When a teacher becomes a principal, responsibilities increase. The focus is no longer only on students but also on creating a positive academic culture throughout the school.

Writing books has never been merely an attempt to become an author. It has been an effort to bring knowledge to students and ordinary readers in simple and accessible language.
Making science understandable, discussing educational challenges and guiding young people about new career and learning opportunities are, for me, extensions of the teaching profession.
The Teacher in the Digital Age
Today, the role of a teacher is more important than ever. Students have no shortage of information. The internet and artificial intelligence can provide thousands of answers within seconds.
But information and knowledge are not the same.
The teacher’s role is no longer simply to provide answers. A teacher must help students understand which questions to ask, which information is reliable and how that information should be used.
In the age of AI, the importance of human teachers may actually increase. Machines can provide information, but developing thinking, values, empathy and responsibility still requires human guidance.
Where Does Real Change Begin?
Social change does not always begin with great speeches. Sometimes it begins with a teacher’s single sentence, an opportunity given to a student or a book that changes the way someone thinks.

My journey as a teacher has taught me one simple truth:
Knowledge is not an end in itself. Knowledge is the light that shows the way towards change.
A teacher’s real success is not measured by the number of students taught, but by how many minds have been inspired to learn, think independently and contribute to society.
Therefore, Teacher’s Day should not be merely a day to congratulate teachers. It should also be a day to ask ourselves:
“Is our education only providing information, or is it creating positive change?”
If our knowledge inspires even one student to think better, live better and contribute towards a better society, then the teacher’s journey has been successful.
Because a true teacher continues teaching even after the classroom ends—through ideas, writing and the example of his own life.
