New Delhi, August 25: President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday extended greetings and best wishes to citizens on the eve of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, calling upon people to draw inspiration from the teachings of Prophet Muhammad and contribute towards building an inclusive and developed India.
In her message, the President conveyed her warm greetings to all fellow citizens living in India and abroad, particularly members of the Muslim community, on the auspicious occasion.
The President said Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi provides an opportunity to recall the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, whose message, she said, inspires people to follow the path of pious conduct and dutifulness.
“His teachings inspire us to follow the path of pious conduct and dutifulness,” Murmu said in her message.
She expressed hope that the noble ideals of Prophet Muhammad would inspire citizens to make an active contribution towards building an inclusive and developed India.
“May the noble ideals of Prophet Muhammad inspire us to contribute actively towards building an inclusive and developed India,” the President said.
