The Union Government’s recent report regarding the progress of the Smart Cities Mission in Jammu and Srinagar is nothing but a true representation of growth and development.
With an almost complete completion rate of the ongoing projects to be more than 97 percent, the UT government has achieved success in completing 282 such projects.
It is worth mentioning that the completion rates of both Jammu and Srinagar have crossed close to a hundred percent.
While Jammu has 125 out of 127 projects completed, Srinagar is at 157 out of 161 completed projects.
Speaking of these developments, the UT government has taken great initiative and brought improvements to a lot of aspects of life in these cities.
From smarter traffic systems to solid waste management and water supply, these 282 projects have worked towards building a better living environment for all the residents of the UT.
The developments are a sign of peace and promise for the region, as it has taken efforts from both the central as well as the UT government to reach such an impressive completion rate.
The projects that were lagging behind in the Valley for a long time have now taken off at a great speed. The completion rate demonstrates the government’s efforts to promote such projects, and fill the gaps in the development sector.
With such a high rate of project completion, it goes to show how cooperative things are between the central and UT administrations.
By achieving such a high rate of completion, the cities of Jammu and Srinagar can now strive to be examples for other states to follow.
